About Brackenhoff Management Group, Inc.

Brackenhoff Management Group, Inc. (BMG) was established in July 1997, by the company founder, Kenneth Brackenhoff.  The company is a California corporation and a California licensed real estate broker.  Mr. Brackenhoff established the company to provide owners of multifamily rental properties another choice in professional property management services based upon his 30+ years in the affordable housing industry, where he has managed Section 8 assisted, Tax Credit, USDA, conventional and commercial retail and office properties.  He has also served on trade association boards, with both the National Affordable Housing Management Association and recently as the President of the Affordable Housing Management Association (AHMA) - Pacific Southwest.  He is also a past Chairman of the AHMA Foundation.  He holds the designation of Certified Property Manager (CPM) from the Institute for Real Estate Management (IREM).  He holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Southern Illinois University.

The BMG management philosophy is based upon creating safe and service-enriched communities that are a source of pride to our clients, the residents and to the entire community.  We are responsive to the needs of our residents and always strive to improve their quality of life.  We value our staff and do all that we can to provide for their personal and professional growth.

In 2007 we celebrated our 10th Anniversary and are pleased to pass this milestone with significant growth and further improvement of our management services.  Currently, BMG manages over 80 communities of affordable and market rate rental housing, totaling over 6,000 units.  Since 1998, the company's first full year of operations, BMG has experienced significant growth, substantially increasing our portfolio of multifamily properties.  Our properties include nearly every category of affordable programs, e.g., Tax Credit, Section 8 assisted, FHA insured, USDA, CHFA, LAHD, AHP, HOME, as well as conventional, market rate communities.  The BMG principals and staff work closely with our owners, tax credit partners, lenders, city, state and federal government officials and others who are affiliated with the properties we manage.  The company uses the Yardi Voyager software, which provides a state-of-the-art, internet-based computer program that seamlessly links our accounting, property management and compliance modules.

BMG has an extremely knowledgeable and talented staff that works together as a team in serving the needs of our clients in the management of the physical asset, financial management, leasing, and in creating strong resident relations and resident retention programs.  Our firm always seeks the most qualified personnel available to maintain our expertise and service to our clients.  We are committed to the fact that good professional property management begins with having a well-trained professional site Manager who takes "ownership" of their property and who is fully supported by our corporate staff members.
